New ‘Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model’ S8 judges revealed
Elle Macpherson and Julien Macdonald will return to the judging panel of Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model this Summer, but without model, Charley Speed, and former X Factor stylist, Grace Woodward.
Replacing the outgoing pair will be fashion designer and TV star, Whitney Port, and Amercian model and actor, Tyson Beckford.
In 2006, Port starred in the MTV reality show, The Hills, and has since modelled for DKNY Jeans, worked for Teen Vogue and designer Diane von Furstenberg. She now now has her own clothing range and a style book.
Beckford appeard as a guest judge in the previous series, because he has been a male model since 1993. He has graced countless magazine covers, fronted fashion campaigns and worked the runway since the aspiring, young models were taking their first steps.
Whitney told the Sky Living/HD website: “I am so excited to be joining Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model. I’m a huge fan of the show and am honoured to be in the company of the talented fellow judges and host, all fashion figures and designers I admire. As a designer and someone who loves fashion, this is a role I’m really looking forward to. Plus, any chance to spend more time in the UK is an added bonus.”
Speaking about his role, Tyson said: “Having guest judged on last season’s series, it’s fantastic to be taking on a permanent role on the panel this year and I’m looking forward to finding the next editorial star.”
