Samsung Galaxy S3

In an update to the story we posted yesterday, it turns out that Samsung have actually confirmed that at their March event in France, no new handsets will actually be announced. Instead, the company will focus on it’s current smartphone portfolio.

This means fans of the Galaxy series who thought they’d get the device as early as March will have to wait slightly longer than first anticipated, infact as of now, no one is certain as to when the device will be launched. One things for sure though, when imediamonkey.com know, you’ll know.

The Samsung Galaxy S3, the latest flagship device from the tech giant could be launched as early as March reports say.

An invite has apparently been sent out to the French media according to FrAndroid but other than the date and we suspect the location no other details were provided.

The firm however had confirmed that they were planning another device after the success of the Galaxy S2 but they had said that although it would be launched before June, it wouldn’t actually be launched at MWC 2012 (Mobile World Congress) which takes place between the 27th of February and the 1st of March.

The location however has surprised the internet as France wouldn’t have been the first guess for Samsung fans. The company, who normally hold their events in New York have definitely moved away from tradition for what ever reason.

Though, remember, the invite didn’t specifically say it was regarding the Galaxy S3, this is all speculation but we would expect the device to be coming sooner rather than later. Don’t get your hopes up though, it could be an entirely different event altogether.

Would you like to see the device launched early? Do you think this is all hype and infact we won’t see anything regarding the S3? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter!
