According to Broadcast, Ben Shephard is to front a new ITV1 daytime quiz show called Tipping Point.

Tipping Point will see players answer questions to get the chance to play on a penny falls-style machine. But if the contestant gets the question wrong, the machine will not pay out, and the person will be eliminated from the show.

The last player standing will take on the machine in a bid to win the ‘golden jackpot disk’, which will see them leave with a cash prize.

The new series will be made by RDF Television and will consist of 20, 60 minute episodes.

The show was commissioned by Diana Howie, ITV‘s commissioning editor for factual and daytime. As well as Alision Sharman, director of daytime and factual.
