Keith Porritt, Executive Director, Commercial, UKTV said: “UKTV’s mix of exciting acquisitions, dynamic commissions and the cream of content from the BBC has made it the fastest growing television network in Britain this year, with more share of viewing growth across the half-year period than all other British terrestrial and digital networks combined. With the recent addition of Channel 4 programmes, we are looking forward to continuing that growth.
“We’re delighted to extend the reach of UKTV’s highly popular branded Pay channels. Our agreement with TalkTalk means our channels and content will be available to even more consumers, and is recognition of the broad appeal of UKTV’s suite of channels.”
TalkTalk subscribers will have access to all of UKTV’s pay TV channels (Watch, Gold, Alibi, Eden, Good Food, Home and Blighty) via the TalkTalk Player, joining Sky and Virgin Media which currently carry the network’s suit of Pay Channels.
Max Alexander, Managing Director of TV, TalkTalk added: “Adding UKTV’s suite of channels to our TV offering is great news for our customers. Our TV service offers all the best content at a great price and we are delighted to be working with UKTV.”
UKTV’s Freeview Channels (Dave, Really and Yesterday) will also be available on YouView, and TalkTalk will be initially offering channel-branded Video on Demand content from UKTV’s factual channel, Eden and leading food channel, Good Food.
