Hulu receives design overhaul

has received a design overhaul which changes the overall layout, and adds new features.

The redesign of the website has a focus on making it easier for users to find and enjoy their favourite TV shows along with discovering shows they’d not usually watch. The Browse navigation feature has also received a slight tweak.

Rob Wong, VP or Product said: “As we worked on the new layout for the site, we kept two things in the backs of our minds: How can we make it easier for you to find and enjoy the best TV moments on your computer? And how can we surround those moments with the most beautiful, elegant and innovative video experience on the web?”

The website now features larger images along with shots from the previous days episodes of shows featured on the service within a new “tray-style” format below the featured programme.

Recommended Picks and Popular Content features have also been added to the homepage, which are based on your viewing habits and others’ viewing habits, respectively. Not only that, but Staff Picks have been added to the homepage.

The search bar located at the top of pages has been updated and the Browse feature menu now allows you to jump to popular content, content recently added to the site, specific networks, recommendations and more.
