Let’s Dance For Sport Relief returned on Saturday night to help with raising money for Sport Relief, comedians Rufus Hound and Katy Brand were the two lucky ones that progressed straight to the final, after entertaining both the nation and the judges with there routines to Cheryl Cole’s ‘Fight For This Love’ and Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies’. Show 1 will feature performances from comedian Rufus Hound, The Olympians (Mark Foster, Iwan Thomas, Leon Taylor, Dalton Grant, Heather Fell, Jamie Baulch), comedienne Katy Brand, Snooker vs. Darts (Willie Thorne, Dennis Taylor, Bobby George, Tony O’Shea), The Newsreaders (Matt Barbet, Ellie Crisell, Louise Minchin) and Casualty & Holby City (Rosie Marcel, Luke Roberts, Charles Dale, Tony Marshall, Ben Turner). Frank Skinner, Jason Manford and Kimberly Wyatt will be on the judging panel and JLS and the Sugababes will also perform.
Show 2 will feature performances from impressionist Debra Stephenson, TV presenters Sam and Mark, comedienne Shappi Khorsandi, GMTV’s Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold, the Weather Girls, Lara Lewington, Clare Nasir, Becky Mantin, with Michael Fish, and the boxers Carl Froch, Johnny Nelson, Tony Jeffries and Duke McKenzie. Kelly Brook, Miranda Hart and Paddy McGuinness will be on the judging panel, and Gabriella Cilmi and the cast of Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert will also perform.
And finally show 3 will feature performances from Grumpy Old Women Jenny Eclair, Linda Robson, Lesley Joseph and Susie Blake, footballer Peter Shilton (with Jason Cundy, The Bill’s Sally Rogers and Chris Simmons, comedian Stephen K Amos, Bellamy’s People’s Felix Dexter, Lucy Montgomery and Rhys Thomas and EastEnders‘ Cheryl Fergison. Vic Reeves, Jo Brand and Denise Van Outen will be on the judging panel, and Justin Bieber and the cast of Chicago will also perform.
Rufus Hound, Katy Brand, Kate Garraway & Richard Arnold, Debra Stephenson, Cheryl Fergison and the Grumpy Old Women are the dancers in the final. Jack Dee, Robert Webb and Jon Culshaw will be the judges for that final on March 13th.
The series will last for four weeks (three heats – beginning February 20th, the final – 13th March) and will see the celebrities perform a number of famous dances. Beyoncé’s Single Ladies, Greased Lightning , Micheal Jackson’s Smooth Criminal, Bad Guys from Bugsy Malone and the Pussycat Dolls’ Jai Ho, just to name a few. The performances will be judged by ‘all-new and exciting panel’ that will change for each show but who goes through to the final is down to the public. All of the proceeds from the voting will go to Sport Relief!
